Emergency Management Southland is the collective inter-council organisation that provides all Civil Defence Emergency Management services throughout Southland. Emergency Management Southland is supported by and works alongside the Councils, Police, Fire Service, St John, SDHB and other key agencies to promote community preparedness for emrgencies and how to respond to a large emergency event that requires a co-ordinated response.
