Omaui Concept Plan accepted
The Omaui community has put together a concept plan for the area that has been accepted by the Bluff Community Board and the Invercargill City Council.
The draft plan was produced in conjunction with the Omaui Steering Committee, Bluff Community Board and the Invercargill City Council.
Bluff Community Board Chairperson Jan Mitchell said Omaui residents spent two Sunday afternoons of their own time last year to discuss what they wanted to see happen in Omaui. The workshops resulted in a list of ideas and suggestions which were covered in the draft concept plan.
Comments were invited and the six submissions received were considered at a joint workshop of the Steering Committee and the Bluff Community Board in August 2010. Amendments were made before the final plan was accepted by the Bluff Community Board and the Invercargill City Council.
