Civic Honours Awards

Nominations for the Civic Honours Awards are called for every three years. Any person who has provided meritorious voluntary service in the Invercargill City District is eligible if nominated by any two Invercargill citizens. The categories are: recreation, youth activities, social welfare, educational services, cultural services, religious affairs and community affairs. Contact the Mayor's Office for more information about the awards.

Civic Theatre Artists' Awards

The Civic Theatre Artists' Awards are restricted to Invercargill performing artists and will be considered only once every three years. Any person who has achieved recognition nationally in New Zealand and on the iternational stage in one or more of the following categories may enter: dance, drama, film, music, radio, singing, television.
