Airport - Private Plan Change 10

In July 2010 Council received a request for a Private Plan Change and Notices of Requirement for Alterations to two Designations from Invercargill Airport Limited.  The Plan Change was sought to amend the boundaries of the existing Airport Operations Sub-Area and the Airport Protection Sub-Area, as well as make amendments to the objectives, policies, rules and other methods within the District Plan relating to these zones.

The Plan Change and Notices of Requirement were notified on October 2, 2010 and six submissions and three further submissions were received. On May 31 and June 1, 2011 an Independent Hearings Commissioner heard submissions and further submissions on the Plan Change. 

Council now gives notice that it has confirmed the Commissioner’s recommendations on Plan Change 10 and the Invercargill City District Plan is deemed to have been amended in accordance with the above decisions from 31 August 2011.
