Airport - Change of Designation 72 proposal

Invercargill Airport Ltd has given notice of a requirement to alter the Aerodrome Designation (Designation 72) as set out in the Invercargill City District Plan.

The existing Aerodrome Designation provides for the operational capability of the airport and enables the airport operations and related facilities to occur.

The Notice of Requirement relating to the Aerodrome Designation proposes to expand the designation to provide for the main runway extension and future Airport growth, as projected in the Master Plan. The enclosed plan entitled "Proposed Airport Designation Area" shows the proposed extent of the increased aerodrome.
