Application Process
It is important to read the job description for the vacancy you are considering applying for. This will give you a clear understanding of the position, the key tasks and the key performance indicators.
As part of your application you must complete the job application form and this MUST be submitted to the Council with your Curriculum Vitae and a covering letter. It is also advisable that all correspondence sent to the Council is clear and to the point - this will also help us to easily identify your skills and experience.
Once the Human Resources Department has received your application you will be sent an acknowledgement letter within two working days.
When the position advertised has closed, the Human Resource Department will then assess all applications, short-list those with the necessary skills and expertise for interviews, and notify applicants on the outcome of their application as soon as possible.
Eligibility
To be considered for a job with the Council, you must be currently entitled to work in New Zealand. Your application should also confirm this. If you are unsure of your entitlement to work in New Zealand, you should contact the New Zealand Immigration Service.

Late applications
It is not normal business practice for the Council to accept late applications. However, if you are unable to meet the closing date for genuine reasons beyond your control, contact the Human Resources Department who will then decide whether to accept a late application.
