Walkways
Invercargill's walking tracks allow people to discover and enjoy our unique natural environment.
Well-formed tracks guide you through the natural beauty of our remnant forest reserves and estuarine environments.
Use the walking tracks for leisure or learning, fitness or fun; take your family and friends to discover the outdoors, get active and enjoy a family outing. Many walking tracks have car parking, picnic tables and toilets nearby. These are your tracks to enjoy!
The Council has produced a brochure - Short Walks in the Invercargill Area - which features 25 walking tracks in and around Invercargill. Copies can be picked up from the Parks Division office in Queen's Park, the Bluff Service Centre, and the Invercargill Information Centre in the Southland Museum and Art gallery.
