Heritage
Council work in this area has included the identification of heritage sites, the promotion of design guidelines, the creation of the Invercargill Heritage Trail, the City Spirit Walk and the Bluff Heritage Trail.
The Council advocates non-regulatory methods to complement its works and has been heavily involved in a number of community education initiatives to encourage owners and occupiers of properties to manage their environment in more sustainable ways.
