Council Housing

Council Housing Care Service Council Housing Care Services Map
The Council owns and maintains 216 one bedroom and studio units that are available for rent in the Invercargill City and Bluff districts. The service provides comfortable and affordable accommodation to elderly and other eligible people who require assistance with their housing needs.

The units, which are clustered together in villages, provide residents with a pleasant living environment where they can socialise together if they choose. The units are easily accessible and warm and all have electric ranges, washing machines, floor coverings, light fittings, electric heating and bathroom heaters. Tenants need only supply a fridge, drapes and furniture before moving in.

Many residents enjoy the independence that the units provide at an affordable cost.
