Invercargill City Council owns and operates fixed and body-worn CCTV cameras at various locations around the Invercargill City district. These cameras are in operation for several reasons including to help promote public safety, support the delivery of services, and to protect Council assets.
Temporary cameras may also be deployed from time to time for reasons including compliance monitoring, documenting the progress of work (e.g. on construction sites or similar) and to review service demand.
