Operative Date of Plan Change 2: Housing and Code of Practice

Pursuant to Clauses 17 and 20(1) of the First Schedule of the Resource Management Act 1991, Invercargill City Council (the Council) gives public notice that Proposed Housing and Code of Practice Plan Change (Plan Change 2) to the Invercargill City Council District Plan will become operative on 2 October 2026.

The Council resolved on 22 September 2026 to make Plan Change 2 operative following the closing of the appeal period, with no appeals received.

The Invercargill City Council District Plan will be updated to incorporate Plan Change 2 on 2 October 2026, and will be available for inspection on the Invercargill City Council website at icc.govt.nz/districtplan and at the Invercargill Public Library, 50 Dee Street, Invercargill.
