Bluff Boat Ramp

The Bluff Boat Ramp is owned by Invercargill City Council. It is a key asset connecting people with the water and a feature of the Community Recreation Precinct in the Bluff Masterplan 2020.

Fees and charges

Your ramp fees help cover the cost of maintenance, repairs, consents, and ongoing improvements to keep the boat ramp and facilities safe and accessible for everyone.

Payment options

Use the Tap n Go terminal on site – for casual use fees only.
Pay online via the online permit portal – for all fee types.
Pay via the ParkEasy app – for casual use and commercial launch fees only.

Monitoring

A payment enforcement camera will be operational 24/7, which will monitor licence plates, triggering any unpaid permits to notify vehicle owners.

Boat Ramp etiquette

5 knot speed limit – 5 knots is the maximum speed within 200m of shore.
Be aware the ramp could be slippery.
No swimming within 50m of the boat ramp – keep an eye out for more updates on safe swimming.
Be aware of all vessels operating in this area.
Monitor channel VHF61.
