Elizabeth Park
BMX track
There are two BMX tracks in Elizabeth Park, maintained by the Southland BMX Club. The tracks are used for competition and club meets and are open to the public at other times.
The first track was completed in 1998, with an additional track opening in 2024.
Both tracks are located in the northern section of the park off Lime Street.
Playground
A large adventure playground in the centre of Elizabeth Park features play equipment including a flying fox, play module with balance beams, slides and towers.
There are two slides built into the bank behind the main playground and young children can enjoy a pebble play area with stones, buckets and chutes.
There is additional play equipment located in the eastern side of the park off John Street.
Dogs
Elizabeth Park is a designated dog exercise area. You may exercise your dog off-leash, except in the area around the playground.
Access
Elizabeth Park can be accessed from John Street, Lime Street, Rimu Street, and Lauder Crescent.
Car parks are available off John Street and Lime Street.
