Apply for a building consent

Building consents are lodged and managed using the Simpli Portal.

Simpli is an partnership between Building Consent Authorities (BCAs), government departments, agencies, businesses and organisations to improve performance, consistency and service delivery across the regulatory environment.

Please Note

You cannot install your Solid Fuel Burner prior to obtaining the building consent (building consent – Form 5 will be issued and sent via Simpli) and it should not be used until it has passed the final inspection.

Once the installation is complete you can apply for the Code Compliance Certificate – Form 6 via the Simpli portal. A final inspection will be organised if it has not been done prior.

Please ensure the building consent invoice has been paid to ensure the Code Compliance Certificate can be issued.
