104-106 Dee Street
104 Dee Street Partnership has applied for a resource consent to demolish a New Zealand Heritage Pouhere Taonga (NZHPT) Category 2 heritage building at 104-106 Dee Street, commonly known as the Briscoes Building.
It is proposed the building will be demolished and the site kept tidy until such a time that redevelopment occurs. A concept level design has been provided of a new building, which takes into account the design and heritage values of the building being demolished. However timing of development is uncertain, noting the applicant has stated they do not have the means to do that development themselves.
Hearing: 15 October 2026, starting at 9am in the Council Chamber (first floor Civic Theatre)
