Application guidance
Conflict of interest
If the property is owned by the Invercargill City Council, please ensure your Council Project Manager has completed the required Conflict of Interest documentation. For further information please contact vetting@icc.govt.nz.
Pre-application meetings
For larger commercial projects and/or a change of use, a pre-application meeting is recommended a minimum of three weeks before the submission of the building consent.
At this meeting the Building team (and other departments if applicable) will identify issues such as access, fire, and other areas which you may need to talk to further to Council staff before you submit the consent.
We recommend to upload the following to your booking request:
- Site plans
- Floor plans
- Elevations
- Fire safety report
- Any other information you think will help us understand the project
Please use ‘Pre-Application Meeting Request’ in the subject.
