Play
Queens Park is a wonderland for children and the young at heart. There is plenty of space for running around, places to explore and a range of play areas to enjoy.
Queens Park Playground
The Queens Park Playground is fun for all ages, with a brightly coloured adventure playground for young kids and high slides and fast merry-go-rounds for the not-so-small. A hydraulic swing is available for wheelchair users.
The waterplay area and paddling pool are a hands-on experience, while the nearby Thomson Statuary beckons paddlers of all ages, particularly on a hot day.
Wonderland Castle
Near the playground is the Wonderland Castle, with turrets, slides and stairs leading to battlements. It just takes a little imagination and the castle is host to knights and ladies, with even the occasional dragon flying past.
Nature play area
A nature play area made from the recycled trunks of fallen trees is located on the western side of Queens Park, near Kelvin Street.
The nature play area is free to use at any time or can be reserved on our booking website.
